Survive and Advance...We are waiting on Ohio State or George Mason

Again it was a tough win but the Cats did it again. Brandon Knight and his career high 30 points led the Cats to a 2nd round (I'll not call it 3rd round because that is ridiculous) victory over West Virginia. It was a rocky game that had us all on the edge of our seats. Early on it looked as if Joe Mazzulla was going to be the Cat killer yet again. He dominated the Big Blue in the first half and wound up with yet another career high but God's Gift (according to his left arm) stepped up and showed why he is the best defender in the country. Liggins continues to impress and doesn't shy away from taking on a defensive challenge.

We across the Big Blue Nation anxiously await today's 5:15 matchup between Top seeded Ohio State and 8th seed George Mason. Do we get to see the so called "Best team in America" or does the slipper still fit for 2006 Final 4 contestant George Mason? Considering the lull we were in early in the year, I couldn't care less who we get to take on. The Cats are peaking at the right time and Newark, NJ looks like it's shaping up to be a helluva game. What will unfold next Friday night? Nobody knows but I can tell you one thing, this bunch of Wildcats are playing inspired basketball and despite the freshmen hype (well deserved), the upperclassmen (Jorts, Liggins, Miller) are playing some great ball. I say bring it on!
