A few weeks ago it was reported that Clemson linebacker Brandon Maye would be leaving the Tigers and heading to a new school for his senior season. The deal is like that of Jeremiah Masoli at Ole Miss. The NCAA rule is that if a student graduates before their eligibility expires, they may transfer to a school that offers a graduate program in line with their degree without having to sit out the mandated 1 .that normal transfers do. Maye will be eligible immediately and could suit up for the 2011 football season.
Reports are beginning to leak that Maye will choose between Kentucky and Mississippi State as early as tonight. Lets keep our fingers crossed. This kid will be an immediate impact player and will help out greatly for Rick Minter's defense should he choose the Cats.
